Mojo bags (also known as Gris Gris bags) are ‘spell in a bag’ charm which you either carry around with you (hidden) or place somewhere in your home (out of sight) so that it ‘works it’s magic’.

They are traditionally made by hand and contain herbs, oils, resins, sometimes bones and gems, all of which are contained in a bag or pouch tied with ribbon or string.  The bag is usually red.

It is said that you should never let anyone touch your mojo bag otherwise they will steal your mojo (your magic).
